Update on the festival!! Due to the incredible amount of interest and involvement .. the Green Arts Festival has grown to enormous size and will need to be held in summer 2010 at a different venue that can hold the capacity crowd.. we'll keep everyone posted with the new dates and times as soon as they are set!!! Click on this link for the Application for the GREEN ART FESTIVAL 2009. The first annual GREEN DAY sponsored by the Patchogue Arts Council , which will incorporate an extensive array of Artisans and Craftsperson's producing Art pieces created from 85% or more recycled products. Art work will be for exhibit and sale at this exciting event held June 27th (Rain Date June 28th) throughout beautiful Shore Front Park overlooking the Great South Bay.

This event will also contain art projects and games for people of all ages. Educational Booths and interactive displays to highlight the best in all Green aspects including, Power, Transportation, Recycling, Healthier Living, Foods and Entertainment.

We are expecting record crowds at this wonderful and all encompassing event and it will be an incredible opportunity for artists and exhibitors to spread the word, show and sell their wares and help promote the future of our community and our world.

If you are, or know of any artists, organizations, corporations, schools, community groups or anyone else that might be a good fit for this day, please have them contact us at the email address below. We have a lot more information for involvement outside the artistry, but please pass this application along to any that might want to show and/or sell their work.

We anticipate an artist application turnout exceeding 1,000 persons, so please act quickly as we will only be choosing 150 - 200 artists for this exciting day!

Exciting News All !

The Patchogue Arts Council has unanimously voted to create the first ever Long Island Based "GREEN ART FESTIVAL". This unique, exciting, educational and timely event will promote artists from all over the tri-state area while focusing on Recycled Art and the Green Movement in general.

We are presently in negotiations with Local, County, State and Federal Businesses and Government to make this an event like no other. Our plans include an Art Exhibition and Competition involving more than 100 artists.

Displays and Interactive projects by corporate and state officials to promote education and understanding of recycling, energy and transportation alternatives, ecological impacts and solutions as well as art projects for young and old alike.

- A focus on organic foods and providers of healthier alternatives.
- Musical Entertainment and Presentations in the Literary and Dance Arts.
- All this at the Beautiful Patchogue Shore Front Park!
- We are presently looking at June 27th (With a rain date of June 28th).
